PSI Operating Status during COVID-19 Emergency

First, we are writing to check-in and thank all of you who are able to commit to Helping People Grow and helping to “flatten the curve” by social distancing, staying home, and limiting your contact with others. Thank you!

The vulnerable members of the Washington, DC community, indeed the entire Metro Area, thank you! Our healthcare system thanks you! This is how we work together, by staying physically apart but Helping People Grow in spirit and purpose.

The ripple effect of the response to COVID-19 has impacted all of us but we want to assure you that our priorities at this time are to our communities, our staff, and our partners. Our offices are closed to the public until at least Friday, April 3rd… more on that below, but here are details that might impact you.

WHAT WE ARE DOING TO HELP

  • The District of Columbia Government Department of Disability Services (DC-DDS) has compiled an important Operating Status Report in response to the outbreak of COVID-19.
  • Get connected to community resources at the Department of Health Care Finance or by calling 211 or go here. Community Resources are more important than ever, whether you have questions about food, housing, transportation or something else. 211 Answers is working hard to keep all of their resources up to date based on the quickly changing information available.

PSI CENTRAL CENTRAL OFFICE

While our office will be closed to the public and to our staff until at least Friday, April 3rd, you can still reach us at Contact Us or you can leave a message at our Central Office at 301-552-7120 or at our DC location at 202-547-3870 – it may take us a bit of time to return your call, but we will get back to you!

Thank you for your patience, support, and for your efforts to protect our community during this challenging time. We stand with you as we all continue Helping People Grow in the face of the unique challenges presented by COVID-19.

Dr. Yvonne Ali, President, PSI

Mr. Steve Mason, Chair, PSI Board of Directors
